When shooting macro, the sharpness range is radically reduced, and accurate focusing is very important. The rail can be mounted on a stably set stand, the stand head, which can be slid in place, so the required distance can be set very precisely. The rail is scaled so the position can be reproduced later. The MS-160 rail is 16 cm long and has an adjustment range of 10 cm.
