Donna VanLiere - A karácsony ígérete

Every Christmas we receive a promise from heaven: the promise of love and grace.
Seven years ago, Gloria also made a promise to her husband before his death. Every Christmas since then, he places an envelope on the Christmas tree with a reminder of that particular promise inside. However, Gloria made a promise not only to her husband, but also to herself: she vowed to do everything in her power to help those in need. Whether it's a young single mother who can't pay the electricity bill or a family in need of food aid, Gloria, with her vehemence, always finds a way to solve the problems that arise. Except for one thing: what his neighbor Miriam means. Miriam is an endlessly critical, perpetually dissatisfied woman who views everything Gloria does with unceasing suspicion. When the two of them, due to the whims of fate, become roommates from neighbors, it will be the ultimate test of patience and faith...
This subtly humorous yet deeply moving story reminds us of the importance of acceptance and that "life always makes its way"...
