The DIGITUS DN-652102-1 is an industrial Gigabit Ethernet media converter that links copper and fibre optic networks. It provides one LAN port running at 1 gigabit per second and converts the signal to a single-mode fibre connection through an SC connector, so it can be integrated into existing fibre infrastructure.
Transmission uses a 1310 nm wavelength over distances of up to 20 km. This makes the converter well suited for extending networks across larger distances, such as between buildings or plant sites.
