The vampires wake up from their stupor when the eternal roses bloom. You have until sunrise to run into the labyrinth and pick the most beautiful flower. Along the way, you hunt humans and tame familiars to help you and increase your power to become the most infamous vampire.

The Hunger is a competition where each player must optimize their deck - hunt people to gain victory points, complete secret missions, and finally get a rose and return to the castle before sunrise. The more you hunt, the slower you and your pack become, making it increasingly difficult to make it back before dawn.
