The Delock enclosure houses a 2280-format M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and connects to a desktop or portable computer via USB, turning an internal M.2 drive into an external storage device. Its sturdy metal housing includes heat-dissipating elements that help keep the memory at a suitable operating temperature.
The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port supports data transfer rates of up to 20 Gbps. An LED indicates power and drive activity, and the enclosure supports hot plug and plug-and-play operation, so no driver installation is required. It is built around an ASMedia ASM2364 chipset.
Please note that SATA M.2 SSDs are not supported. The package includes mounting material, a thermal pad, a screwdriver, a USB-C cable of about 50 cm and a user manual.
