The DELL DXD9H Gen 14 is a mobile tray caddy for 2.5-inch hard drives. It holds the drive so it can be installed in and removed from the server chassis without tools, making storage upgrades and replacements quicker.
According to the product information, the caddy is compatible with the DELL R740, R740xd, R440, R540, R940 and R640 servers. It lets you expand or service the drive bays of these systems without opening the whole server.
The caddy is a replacement and accessory part for maintaining and upgrading the listed DELL servers.
