Datalogic's new Touch™ TD1100 touch scanner series is aimed at users who are looking for a cost-saving solution for applications where the barcode must be read in a touching or near-touch position, and there is no possibility of any compromise in terms of performance and quality. The Touch™ TD1100 is designed to meet the requirements of non-scanning-intensive applications, markets that require touch, near-touch reading of barcodes, and traditional 1D codes, including low-quality and damaged codes. The Touch™ TD1100 has a small size, light weight, low consumption, yet robust design and can survive a 1.5 m drop on the floor, which is typical of higher priced products. Touch™ TD1100 scanners are available in two window sizes, 6.5 cm and 9 cm, for standard-sized or wider barcodes. The Touch TD1100 scanners have a multi interface, through which the same device can be converted to an RS232, USB, or keyboard interface by changing the cable and programming, in contrast to the previous Datalogic Touch 65/90 scanners, which have a USB or RS232/keyboard interface. Datalogic's Aladdin configuration program provides a user-friendly interface for setting up devices, and is easy to use even for inexperienced users.
