The Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600-DPX is a rugged industrial handheld barcode scanner designed for Direct Part Marking (DPM), reading codes applied directly to components, metal or other surfaces. It recognises marks made by laser marking, dot peen, inkjet printing and electrochemical etching. A patented Datalogic 4D learning system automatically sets the best reading parameters, so even difficult codes are captured reliably.

The scanner connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with the Datalogic STAR wireless system. USB, Ethernet, serial and multi-interface connections are also supported. IP65 and IP67 protection ratings and resistance to 50 drops from 2.5 metres make it suitable for demanding everyday industrial use.

The package includes the scanner, a charging and communication cradle, a USB cable, a power supply and a removable 3350 mAh Li-Ion battery. The omni-directional scan pattern reads 1D and 2D codes, including QR, Data Matrix and PDF417. The scanner weighs 435 g and comes in black and yellow.
