The Datalogic PowerScan PM9600-SR is an industrial handheld barcode scanner designed for warehouse, logistics and other demanding working environments. The kit includes a PM9600-SR scanner unit and a charging cradle. The scanner communicates over a 433 MHz wireless link and connects to the host system via USB.

The device is rated IP65 and IP67 and, according to the manufacturer, remains operational after a drop from 2.5 metres onto concrete. The trigger is tested for 10 million presses. The built-in imaging sensor reads both 1D and 2D barcodes.

The STAR radio frequency system operates with minimal interference, and up to 16 devices can be connected to a single cradle. The OLED display and integrated keypad provide real-time feedback. Because charging is contactless, the charging process is not affected by corrosion or dirt.
