Product description
"I hear the hissing of a snake, the whining of a prairie dog... I see the bison go. I see the cloud of dust, pale-faced come. I see their upturned palms, showing peace. I see the knives behind them, they bring war. I see them asking for our tents, and I see them being taken away in the morning peace with you. I see more and more coming, and I see their tongues two-edged... I hear their voice the hissing of serpents."
Tamás Cseh and his friends pitched the first Indian tents in a mountain clearing in 1961. They wanted "clean laws, simplicity, a transparent, interpretable world". The rules and ideals of the Plains Indian culture, which had passed a century before, were revived in Bakony.
The tradition of the game, held twice a year, lives on to this day. The thrill of great adventure and the love of nature is passed down from father to son, both adults and children are happy to identify with the brave, hardy and wise Indians.
Tamás Cseh kept a diary about the everyday life of the Bakony tribes, and based on his notes, with the encouragement of István Kormos, he wrote this ethnographically authentic and exciting story based on a lot of research in 68-69. It languished for decades before it finally saw the light of day. It was last published in 2008.
Hadiösvény is the book of the Bakony Indians, the only novel by Tamás Cseh
