The Cokin Variable ND2-400 filter is a variable neutral gray filter (ND) that provides stepless 1 and 8 brightness reduction. The ND filter darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a larger aperture or a longer shutter speed. The degree of darkening can be easily adjusted by rotating the front filter ring, which is marked with dots for precise positioning. Precise adjustment is provided by the crank on the front ring.

This filter is made of Schott B270 glass for enhanced optical clarity and color fidelity, and all glass surfaces are treated with 16 layers of Cokin EVERCLEAR 5 anti-reflective coating. These coatings are resistant to oil, dust and other dirt, and are more scratch-resistant, thereby providing greater protection to the filter. The Cokin EVERCLEAR 5 coating is water repellent and makes cleaning the filter surface much easier compared to uncoated filters.
