Haramiau szelencéje is an association word game for indoor play, in which players try to guide the others to a secret word using only a few clues. The active player picks a word from a card and gives a set number of hints related to it, while the rest of the group tries to guess the answer, each allowed just one attempt.

The Haramiau token and the curse cards add an extra layer of tension, since a player whose hints are judged unrelated to the secret word must take the token and may lose points. Points are awarded to both the hint giver and the guesser when the word is found, so good clues and sharp thinking pay off.
