Chuck Hogan - The town - A tolvajok városa BK24-112242

The Town – A tolvajok városa is a crime novel by Chuck Hogan, published in paperback with a glued binding by Könyvmolyképző Kiadó in 2010. The story opens with a bold robbery: four masked men, thieves, rivals and friends, leave the hard streets of Charlestown and hold up a Boston bank at gunpoint. Taking bank manager Claire Keesey hostage and emptying the vault proves surprisingly easy.

Doug MacRay, whose life is built around crime, does not expect to fall in love with the woman he has taken hostage. The relationship that develops between them upends everything, and for Doug the way back from the criminal life becomes harder with every step.

Set in the gritty Boston underworld, this tense, dark crime story explores loyalty, love and redemption. It is recommended for readers who enjoy entertaining fiction.
