    This C2G USB to DB9 serial adapter cable lets you connect RS-232 serial devices to a computer with a USB port. It is suited to older modems, POS terminals, industrial equipment and network devices that still rely on a serial connection but have no matching port on a modern machine. A USB-A connector plugs into the computer, while the other end provides a DB9 (DE-9) serial female connector compatible with standard RS-232 devices.

    The cable is 46 cm long and finished in blue, which makes it easy to tell apart from other cables in a crowded setup. Installation is straightforward, and most operating systems detect the driver automatically.

    The adapter is especially useful with modern laptops and desktop computers that no longer include a built-in serial port but still need to communicate with legacy hardware.
