This shielded Cat6a patch cable connects 10GBase-T ports and devices such as network adapters, hubs, switches, routers, DSL and cable modems, and patch panels. Its shielding protects the 10 Gigabit network connection from noise and electromagnetic interference.

The cable uses a shielded twisted-pair (STP) construction and supports a test frequency of up to 600 MHz, making it suitable for high-speed data transfer in server applications, cloud computing and HD video streaming. The individual pairs are bonded so that the twist is maintained right up to the connector, which minimises near-end crosstalk (NEXT).

The shaped, hook-free jacket prevents unwanted snagging during installation and provides additional strain relief. The cable meets the ANSI/TIA 568 C.2 Cat6a component requirements and complies with RoHS. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors. It is 50 cm long and grey.
