The Broadcom internal SAS cable is a reliable connection designed for professional server builds and storage systems. One end features a Slim SAS (SFF-8654) connector, the other a U.2 (SFF-8639) connector, making it well suited to connecting modern NVMe U.2 drives to a server.
At 1 metre long, the cable gives enough slack for flexible routing inside the server chassis and storage enclosure. The x8 Slim SAS SFF-8654 connector supports high-bandwidth data transfer, while the SFF-8639 side provides eight ports for attaching U.2/U.3 drives.
