The Broadcom NetXtreme N425G is a network adapter for the PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot, providing four 25-gigabit SFP28 ports. It is aimed at data centre and server environments where high bandwidth is required. The low-profile design allows installation in compact servers as well.
The adapter supports Data Center Bridging (DCB), Enhanced Transmission Selection (ETS) and the low-latency RoCE protocol, which improve data transfer efficiency and network reliability. It also offers virtualisation features including SR-IOV, NVGRE and VXLAN.
The card is compatible with Linux, Windows, VMware ESX and several other operating systems. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to 55 °C and weighs 110 g.
