The Broadcom HBA 9500-16e is a Tri-Mode storage controller for servers that supports SATA 6 Gb/s, SAS 12 Gb/s and PCIe 4.0 (NVMe) interfaces at the same time. A single card can therefore manage three different types of storage device within one server.
The controller offers 16 channels and connects to the motherboard over a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface, providing high throughput and low latency. It is well suited to data centres, enterprise servers and demanding storage environments.
Thanks to Tri-Mode technology, the adapter works with current NVMe SSDs as well as traditional SAS and SATA drives, making it a practical fit for mixed storage configurations. The card weighs 300 g.
