BRITA Maxtra PRO Pure Performance filter in the package

Advanced filtration with MicroFlow technology reduces limescale, water hardness, heavy metals and substances that negatively affect the taste of water, such as chlorine. The lifetime of a filter is up to 150 liters of filtered water or 4 weeks of use. The advantage is that the filter can be used with any BRITA kettle, including older ones. Like the BRITA Marella, the filter body is made of BPA-free plastic. Filtering takes place in four stages:

- Through the inlet, unfiltered water flows into the filter, where mechanical impurities are trapped in the fine mesh
- The water then comes into contact with the filter mixture, where the ion exchanger removes unwanted ions, heavy metals (copper, lead, etc.), reduces water hardness and scale formation
- Activated carbon then reduces the amount of substances such as chlorine, pesticides and organic impurities that have a negative effect on the taste of tap water
- In the final stage, it filters the water through a very fine sieve at the bottom to remove microscopic impurities
