A statement at the beginning that we understand the images of the ancient Egyptian tarot correctly: all the images in temples and tombs that relate to the great secrets (the Great Arcanum) must be understood as having magical life in them. This magical life explains the influence these motifs still have today. Magic, indeed all that is magical, played a significant role in Egyptian territory and history and later became mystical. The tarot may not be the oldest book we know, but it is certainly the one with the deepest esotericism, and thus certainly the wisest book that exists, if the books of religions are excluded from it.
