The inhaler is used to introduce atomized liquid (aerosol) into the lower and upper respiratory tract. The inhaler consists of a compressor and a nebulizer. The compressed air produced by the compressor pushes the liquid in the atomizer head through the extremely small diameter nozzles and atomizes it into small particles, thereby creating the aerosol, which looks like fog when it comes out of the atomizer head. When the aerosol gets into the airways, it condenses there, thereby exerting its effect.
