The 2N Access Unit M is an access reader with a built-in controller that can be installed with a single UTP cable, which carries both data and power. Its slim design suits tight spaces such as door frames. With an IP55 rating and a toughened glass front panel, the unit is also suitable for outdoor installation.

The reader supports RFID, Bluetooth-based mobile access and two-factor authentication using a keypad. Its integrated 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz reader (MIFARE DESFire, NFC) is compatible with 2N PICard technology, which is designed to prevent card cloning. Connectivity includes a Fast Ethernet (RJ-45) port, as well as Wireless LAN and Bluetooth.

The unit can be mounted on the surface, flush or in a wall recess. It measures 133 × 50 × 27 mm and weighs approximately 500 g. It runs on 12 V DC and has an impact resistance rating of IK07.
