One of the great advantages of the ADR-310 extension cord is the built-in mains plug. The current provided by the USB bus proves to be sufficient in most cases, but in the case of devices with higher consumption, it may prove to be weak, but this is solved by the external power supply.

The repeater's exceptionally compact body allows for seamless use in busbars or cable systems. The high-quality shielded cable ensures fast communication speed and minimizes unwanted noise.

Power supply:
• The cable and connected devices are powered via USB bus (5V - 500mA bus mode).
• For most USB devices, power supply via the USB bus is sufficient and no additional power supply is required.
• The active part of the cable contains a Micro USB connector for an additional 5V/1-2A external power supply.
• A 1.2 m long USB A-M / Micro USB power cable in the package. The cable allows power from a standard mobile phone charger with a USB-A output of 5V/min. 1A, e.g. AXAGON ACU-DS16.
• When feeding the repeater cable with the adapter, an external 2.5" disk can be connected without needing its own power source for the disk.
• In the case of a longer USB path connected with multiple repeater cables, the power supply of the USB bus may turn out to be inadequate, even for USB devices with lower energy consumption than external 2.5" drives. In this case, it can also help to strengthen the power supply by connecting a network adapter.
