Foldable Smart card / ID card AXAGON CRE-SMPA PocketReader with USB-A 480Mbps interface. It is particularly suitable as an ID card reader for mobile phones with USB-A input. The most common USB-A connector provides connection to almost all new and older computers.

The card reader supports all common smart card, chip card and other card formats, including payment cards or electronic ID cards. The reader is compatible with most national electronic identification cards for eID use (electronic identity card).

Compatibility with all common operating systems such as Windows, Linux macOS, iOS and Android, which allows for a wide range of applications on computers and laptops, as well as phones and tablets.

The smart LED indicator turns on and off shortly after changing the activity and does not disturb the user with unnecessary light. Thanks to its foldable design and compact dimensions, this reader is one of the smallest smart card readers on the market. The integrated loop allows you to hang it on your keys, for example, so it's always with you and won't bother you.

- USB-C 480Mbps CCID protocol.
- Backwards compatible with USB 1.1.
- Connection to a computer, phone or tablet via the USB 2.0 type A connector.
- For a phone or tablet with a USB-C connector, we recommend reducing USB-C -> USB-A, e.g. AXAGON RUCM-AFAC. For connection to a phone with a micro-USB connector, we recommend OTG reduction micro USB -> USB-A.

- Note: The reader only supports cards with visible contacts. The contactless card is therefore classified as RFID and cannot be used in the reader.
