The FRITZ!Box 4690 is a premium router with a 10 Gigabit WAN port, ideal for a fiber optic internet connection. The device supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and is backward compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax).

The router has 4 RJ-45 network ports, of which 3 are 100/1000/2500 Mbps and 1 is 1000/2500/5000/10000 Mbps. Built-in DECT base station supports up to 6 wireless phones and smart home devices.

In terms of security, Stateful Packet Inspection firewall and VPN support (WireGuard and IPSec) are available. MyFRITZ! service enables remote access, while guest access provides a separate network segment. The setting can be easily done from a browser using a PC, smartphone or tablet.
