The ROG STRIX X870E-A GAMING WIFI7 NEO from ASUS is an ATX motherboard for the AM5 socket, designed for AMD Ryzen processors from the 9000, 8000 and 7000 series. The board offers four M.2 slots, DDR5 memory support up to 256 GB and Wi-Fi 7 for fast wireless connections. Its 16+2+2 phase power design is intended to keep demanding builds stably supplied.

Connectivity includes two USB4 Type-C ports, a 10 Gbps USB Type-C port with Power Delivery 3.0 and five further 10 Gbps USB ports. A Realtek 5 Gb Ethernet port and the ROG SupremeFX ALC4080 codec with Dolby Atmos handle networking and audio. Features such as AI Cache Boost, AI Overclocking and AI Cooling II make the system easier to tune.

Polymo Lighting and Aura Sync RGB, together with three Gen 2 ARGB headers, allow the look of the build to be personalised. Tool-free aids such as Q-Latch and Q-Slide simplify installing components.
