The ASUS PRO WS W890-SAGE is a CEB-format workstation motherboard designed for creative professionals, developers and engineers. Built on the Intel W890 chipset with an LGA4710-2 socket, it is optimised for Intel Xeon 600-series processors and supports Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology.

The memory system offers eight DDR5 DIMM slots in a quad-channel architecture, with support for ECC RDIMM and MRDIMM modules as well as Intel XMP compatibility. For storage, the board provides four PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slots, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports and two SlimSAS connectors, with RAID 0/1/5/10 support.

Networking is handled by Realtek 10 Gb/s and Intel 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet. The rear panel includes two USB4 (40 Gbps) Type-C ports, six USB 10 Gbps Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 ports. Four PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slots allow for additional cards.
