AQARA RSD-M01 E1 Roller Shutter Controller White

The Aqara RSD-M01 E1 is a retrofit controller for beaded-chain roller shades. It mounts to the wall in a few simple steps: attach the device, connect the adapter, insert the bead chain of your existing shade, and it is ready to pair. No extra wiring is needed, as it runs wirelessly on its built-in battery or continuously when connected to a power adapter via the included USB Type-C cable.

The unit uses the Zigbee 3.0 protocol and is compatible with popular smart home ecosystems, including HomeKit, Alexa, Google, IFTTT, Alice and Marusya, with voice control available. An AQARA Hub is required. Through the Aqara Home app you can set a preferred opening or closing percentage and switch between positions easily. Single-button control is also possible, for example with an Aqara Mini Switch.

According to the manufacturer, the battery lasts about two months when a 1.8 × 1.8 m shade is raised and lowered once a day. Four different adapters are included to support most beaded-chain roller shades.
