The APC Symmetra LX extended-run battery cabinet is a 5U rack-mount unit designed for the Symmetra LX uninterruptible power supply series. It houses three SYBT5 battery modules and provides a 230 V DC output voltage to the connected UPS. The unit weighs close to 114 kg and is intended for installation in server racks and IT environments.

Its lead-acid construction is maintenance-free and spill-proof. The battery modules can be replaced while the system is running, so the UPS does not need to be shut down and downtime is kept to a minimum.
