While the cables fit into any standard IEC socket or electrical connector, the 'clamping' feature only works when used with APC's AP8000 Series Rack PDU or an IT device that has a built-in clamping socket. These locking connectors reduce the chance of accidentally pulling out the cable and losing the load.
