APC rack-switched distribution units (PDUs) metered per outlet enable advanced, user-customizable current control and individual outlet-level current measurement. With remote socket control, you can check the power supply, so you can restart locked equipment and uniquely prevent unauthorized use of sockets. With sequential delayed switching on, you can determine the order in which equipment is switched on and off. You can avoid overloading the circuit during recovery after a power outage and increase the uptime of critical equipment by prioritizing load shedding. Voltage measurement enables real-time remote monitoring of the load of connected units. Metered rack PDUs feature real-time power monitoring, a temperature/humidity sensor port, and lockable IEC receptacles. User alerts warn of potential circuit overload before critical IT failures occur. Connected PDUs can be accessed, configured and controlled via a secure web connection, SNMP or Telnet. In doing so, you can use the InfraStruXure Central, Capacity Manager and Change Manager applications available from APC's central management interface.
