Anthony Ryan - A Pária

Alwyn, the rogue, was born into the strife-torn kingdom of Albermaine. Sharp-witted and skilled with a blade, Alwyn longs for nothing but the freedom that the forest offers him in the company of his thieving buddies. However, they betray him, leading his life into a new direction - a road paved with blood and revenge, which eventually leads him to the king's army.
Mistress Evadine Courlaine is plagued by demonic visions of the apocalypse, and she takes up arms to fight the threat. Under the command of the warrior lady, Alwyn must survive not only the war, but also the dangerous intrigues of the nobles if he wants to exact his revenge on those who wronged him. However, as the dark forces of both this world and the other world gather to stop Evadine's rise, Alwyn finds himself at a crossroads: can he become a warrior or is he destined to remain a simple rogue forever?
