Antal Z. László - Egészségszociológia holisztikus megközelítésben

My research of more than 40 years has led to the conclusion that the new challenges in the field of health sociology, population processes and climate change are interlinked and can be traced back to common causes. Today, the question of why modern societies cannot provide adequate answers to these challenges while knowing the consequences accurately and well is becoming increasingly important for the future of societies. My studies in this volume, which focus on the health and illness of society and individuals, also seek answers to this question.
At the beginning of my professional career, in the eighties, I personally experienced an extremely significant social interest in sociology, and then a decline from the 1990s onwards. In the volume, I am also looking for an answer to why this change has taken place, which has led to constant renewal in recent decades. The studies also show what new issues I considered important at the time of the rapid transformation of society, what new research methods I used, and finally how and why I came to the sociological application of a holistic approach. The volume is ultimately about how a holistic approach can contribute to understanding and healing the diseases of the individual and society.
