Product description
The AMD Ryzen 5 3400G is a quad-core processor with eight threads for the AM4 socket, featuring an integrated Radeon RX Vega 11 graphics unit. It runs at a base clock of 3.7 GHz, which can boost up to 4.2 GHz, and offers 2 MB of L2 and 4 MB of L3 cache. Its thermal design power is 65 watts. Because it needs no separate graphics card, the chip suits compact, cost-conscious builds as well as everyday home computers.
The box includes the Wraith Spire cooler. Solder rather than thermal paste is used between the chip and the heat spreader, which improves heat transfer. The processor supports dual-channel DDR4 memory up to 2933 MHz, and this memory speed is recommended for the graphics unit. It does not offer PCI Express 4.0 support.
The processor is compatible with motherboards based on the A320, B450, X470 and X570 chipsets, and with B350 and X370 boards after a BIOS update.
