Ally Carter - Uncommon Criminals - Különös bűnözők

Reputation obliges. Katarina Bishop has been given many labels during her short life: friend, niece, child, thief. But in the last two months, she became the girl who robbed the world's largest museum with her gang. That's why Kat isn't surprised when she's asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so that it can be returned to its rightful owner. But there are three problems. First of all, the gem has not been seen by anyone for thirty years. Second, after the fall of the Egyptian Empire and the death of Cleopatra, whoever possessed the emerald was unable to keep it for long; and history tends to repeat itself. However, Kat's team is most worried about the third problem: there is a curse on the stone. Even if the girl is up to her neck in the pickle, she will not give up without a fight. After all, he has his best friend—the great Hale—and the rest of the team with him. Together, they search for Cleopatra's emerald, and as they work out the curses one after another, they realize that the tricks and swindles that the thieving families have used with success for centuries are no longer of any use. And that means that Katarina Bishop is forced to break her own rules. A worthy sequel to Thieves Club. "Holy! I didn't think there would be a book I liked more than Thieves' Club... then BOOM! The sequel is so good! It had quite a few great twists, and to be honest, I think it's even better than the first part, if that's even possible. In short, I LOVED it!!! " - C. B.
