"It gives hope in a world that is eerily similar to our own." - Ms. Magazine

Wylodine's life is one of poverty and constant anxiety. They grow marijuana with her mother and her aggressive boyfriend, but like everyone who gets the chance, they run away, leaving her alone. And the next spring won't come, and the endless winter is getting colder and colder.

Towing his house built on a trailer, Wil sets off to get to his mother, to the warmth. The icy road and encounters with other groups of people trying to survive in the chaos hide countless dangers, but there are also companions with whom they help each other. And the girl has the most important ability: plants sprout from the seeds she brought with her, the key to new life and survival.

The thriller with a strange atmosphere is also a dark dystopia, which offers a glimpse into a future that is not at all reassuring and not entirely improbable.
