Fifteen years have passed since Casey Carter was imprisoned for the murder of her fiance, but the woman who claimed to be innocent all along is determined to clear her name. The show's producer, Laurie Moran, believes in Casey's innocence and wants to help her. But with his co-star Alex Buckley taking a hiatus from television, the series is getting a new host in Harvard-educated hotshot lawyer Ryan Nichols. The pompous Ryan takes control of the show and even tries to talk Laurie out of Casey's case, as he is certain she is guilty.
Laurie must contend with a cocky, self-absorbed recruit, a ruthless gossip columnist, and Casey's bad reputation in order to prove Casey's innocence once and for all.
