4M Solar robot science experiment kit 621247

This solar-powered experiment kit from 4M is designed for children aged eight and up, introducing the basics of solar energy and modern technology through hands-on building. Children construct a small model of a smart home, where a simulated lawn is maintained by a solar-powered robotic lawnmower.

The set includes a cardboard model house, transparent foils, grass seed, a cotton mat, a plastic tray, a measuring cup, a heat strip, a solar cell, an LED set with phototransistor, a miniature robotic lawnmower, a water pump, silicone tubing, a battery charging station, a sticker sheet and a colourful instruction booklet. While assembling the project, children explore solar power generation, how automated devices operate and how to care for living plants.

Building the kit requires side cutters or modelling pliers, and optionally scissors and a nail file. A clear, illustrated guide accompanies each step.
