I've been writing short stories all my life. According to my theory, the short story is not the same as the narrative. A narrative is a story that is published in monthly newspapers, its length is more than fifteen thousand characters, sometimes twenty or even thirty thousand. So it's quite long. The short story, on the other hand, is the one that fits on a full page of the weekly newspaper, so according to the old calculation, it is about ten spots (that many typed pages with large line spacing). What is even shorter than that? Between the two wars, it was called a portfolio, but it is more of a personal newspaper article. Is it possible to write a short story - a story - more concisely, if you like, more concentrated? Challenge. I tried, first at the editor's request, then as a sport, as a sign of "I'm going to sit there, I'm going to get shorter".
The book contains confessions that people are a little - or a lot - ashamed of, and are reluctant to tell, not even with friends or family. (My photo is also like this.) I had to take strength... you understand. The title refers to this: fragmentary confession.
