Tove Jansson - Jön az üstökös

In Moomin Valley, summer is just as pleasant as usual. Moominpapa sits on the porch, Moominmam puts gorgeous seashells around the flower beds. But one day the color of the sky changes eerily, and the pessimistic Muskrat informs the Moomin family that a comet is approaching Earth and heading straight for Moomin Valley. And indeed: the red eye glows more menacingly in the sky every day, and soon all the inhabitants of the valley pack up their belongings and flee their homes. Moomintroll and Sniff, on the other hand, are driven by curiosity when, in defiance of a hundred dangers awaiting them, they set out to find out whether the world and their lovely valley can be saved from destruction.
The series of Tove Jansson's fairy tales about the Moomins begins with the volume Jön azökökös. The Finnish-Swedish writer's stories, illustrated with her own delicate, humorous drawings, have fascinated children and adults for decades. The current edition is a new translation of the 1968 author's version.
