A new volume on Transylvanian Armenians is published by Törös Tivadar (1859-1895), a former journalist and prose writer from Szamosújvár-Budapest. The anecdotal, humorous fictitious letters addressed to Istók Bolond as editor by their writer, Vártán Vártán, a citizen of Szamosújvár in Afghanistan, reflect the character of the Armenian man in late 19th century Hungarian literature from the Armenian side in the form of amusing and very apt articles. The volume contains 20 letters from those published in Bolond Istók between 1878-1881, provided with detailed explanations, and made into a volume for the first time.
