The idea: to collect István Tisza's intellectual legacy, preferably to publish it in its entirety, the 1918-19. It was created in the bosom of the István Tisza memorial committee, which was established during the first period of the general national restoration that began after overcoming the confusing and impure revolutions of the past few years. The first anniversary of his death was approaching, and he initiated the formation of this committee. The club, which was the scene of his party leadership activities and which, when the Wekerle government was formed in 1918, when the National Labor Party merged into the governing party, again took on the non-political character of the "National Social Circle", as it did when the Liberal Party was dissolved, was the founder of the Memorial Committee and became its home. The circumstance that he chose Zsolt Beöthy as the first president of the Memorial Committee was already an indication that he does not want to renew the traditions of the late leader in the political field, nor is it a simple statue committee, but primarily and principally he wants to perpetuate the memory of István Tisza in the most lasting intellectual and literary field and make it fruitful for the nation. We all felt the gaping void left behind by the tragic passing of the greatest figure in our public life, and the more vividly we felt that there was no one among the living who was called and capable of filling that void, the more we had to feel the need for what was left of István Tisza to us. let us ensure his property and benefits for his orphaned and unfortunate nation.
