Product description
"The narrative nature of the body includes not only the scientific and everyday discourses in which the body appears in a given historical and social environment, and the body image people generally have in this environment, but also how one's own body image contributes to a person's personal to his identity, since this is realized through language, through narrative mediation."
Is there a body without text, is there text without a body? How is our knowledge of the body written into our (literary) texts, how do (literary) texts shape our knowledge of the body? Where is the body in the text, where is the author's body in the text, and where is the body of the Other? Who is the Other of the text? In the last ten years - from different aspects, always examining different authors - I tried to go around these questions, I returned to them again and again.
This volume is a thematic selection from my studies and lectures where I dissected this problem from different perspectives. Although I am not presenting them in chronological order, but in chapters organized into topic groups, I hope that the book can be read continuously, continuously, as a single text.
