Tekei Erika - Háromszéki folk tales

A collection of Székely folk poetry by János Kriza and his colleagues was published in 1863 under the title Vadrózsák. Folk songs and ballads, children's games, nursery rhymes, riddles, sayings and proverbs, dance words, as well as folk tales from Trámszék and Udvarhelyszék can be read in it. Háromszék is located inside the arch of the Eastern Carpathians, in the Carpathian bend - the administrative unit of the historic Székelyföld, which was created in the 16th century, by merging the previously independent Kézdiszék, Orbaiszék and Sepsiszék. Twelve folk tales from Trómszék were published in Vadrózsák. This volume offers a selection of fairy tales collected in the 19th century, a reworked version for children of the texts reflecting the Tříszék dialect of the time.
