This loose-leaf black tea from Taste The World is an Earl Grey blend flavoured with natural bergamot oil. It starts with pure Chinese black tea, and the fine citrus note of bergamot gives it a clear, fresh taste.
Bergamot was originally added to protect the tea from mould and the unpleasant tar flavour it could pick up during long sea voyages. That history gave the blend its name, and it remains the classic example of English tea.
The ingredients are black tea and natural bergamot oil. The 40 g pack is suited to everyday enjoyment, best brewed hot and taken with or without milk.
