Tallér Edina - Girl a city felett

The novel is the story of a woman who is curious about everything, who was given the name Anna at baptism, but she chose another for herself: Eileithüia. In Greek mythology, this was the name given to the daughter of Hera and Zeus, who had no less a task among the gods than to protect children. Eileithüia in the novel is looking for her place in the world, but she cannot find it, so she builds her own, where everyone gets what they want or think they want. In the village from which she starts her journey, the fortuneteller's mother, who raises her alone, is considered a fool, but they turn to her for help when there is a big problem. The little girl becomes a young girl who leaves her past behind to conquer the world. And who succeeds in this as a special, persistent, humane woman. But when the whole world lies at your feet, how do you proceed? Every thought in Edina Tallér's novel touches me, because she is looking for answers to the questions that we either ask ourselves every day, or that we run away from every day, because facing them is not easy. What kind of people have we become for the 21st century? What determines our thinking? What do we do with ourselves in an age in which we don't even know who we are? The book The Girl Above the City is a novel of fate, faith and questions to be answered.
