Stephanie Perkins - Valaki van a házadban

A series of murders begins in a small town in Nebraska. The victims are all high school students. The first is the star of the school musical, whose throat is scratched with a smiling head. The next dead is the best football player in the high school, he is scalped and his brain is crushed to a pulp. Makani Young, who moved to the city not so long ago, together with her friends, tries to find out on what basis the killer chooses his victims. At the same time, she tries to immerse herself in her developing relationship with the biggest loner at school, Ollie, whose eccentricity arouses suspicion in many.
When Makani is also attacked, she and Ollie manage to escape and they recognize the culprit. Then the mad chase begins. Fear creeps in everywhere. Each character is unique, even though there are many victims, suspects and supporting characters in the book. Makani's character is wonderfully constructed, and the story of her past creates sympathy in the readers. Sometimes it seems that they can easily catch the killer, since he repeatedly makes huge mistakes, but this is exactly why the story is action-packed and impossible to put down.
