Product description
This USB hub expands the world of USB-A compatible desktop or laptop computers with four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports. The USB hub is connected to the USB-A port of the computer with the built-in 30 cm host cable. The USB hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) devices, so it supports many modern and older USB peripherals (e.g. pen drives, external HDDs/SSDs, HD cameras, mice, keyboards, webcams and audio headsets). The USB hub is compact in size, making it easy to carry when traveling.
Power supply via bus with optional additional power supply
The USB hub can only be operated from the bus. It has a USB Type-C power input that can be connected to a USB-C power adapter (sold separately) and provides up to 15 W (5 V/3 A) of power in addition to the host's bus power supply. This flexibility is ideal for applications that require additional power, such as connecting a high-performance USB device (eg external HDD/SSD), while the other ports are used to connect lower-power devices. The downstream ports can each provide up to 7.5 W of energy for the connected peripherals. For added protection of connected USB devices, the USB ports have overcurrent protection (OCP). OCP prevents USB peripherals from drawing more power than each port can safely allocate.
Plug and Play
This tool is OS independent and supports all operating systems including Windows, macOS and ChromeOS. The hub is automatically detected, configured and installed when connected to the host. The built-in extra-long 30cm USB-A host cable provides easy setup and reduces connector strain on devices such as the Surface Pro, HP Elite X2, Lenovo X1 Carbon, Dell XPS, and dock laptops.
