Product description

This 1G Ethernet network isolator from StarTech.com fully separates all conductive connections between devices linked by an Ethernet cable. Its 4 kV isolation is TAA compliant and helps prevent ground loop problems in audio and video equipment, while protecting connected devices from stray electrical currents, voltage surges and ground faults.

The unit features two RJ45 ports compatible with Cat5 and Cat6 cables. It is powered through USB, so no separate power adapter, software or drivers are needed; simply connect and use it. It requires no IP address, does not route or alter traffic and does not affect network performance.

The compact plastic housing, rated IP40, can be mounted on a DIN rail or with adhesive tape, and both mounting kits are included. It carries ETL safety certification (IEC 62368-1) and CE marking to EN55032/EN55035. It is well suited to IT professionals protecting laboratory and industrial network infrastructure.
