Sándor Solymossy is one of the ethnographers who researched the roots of the Hungarian ancestral religion, despite the fact that in his time it was considered almost impossible to map and prove our ancient belief system. The author noticed that there are countless elements of folk rhymes, folk tales, folk songs, and customs related to ancient beliefs. As a proof of this, he published his study A Magyar ossi hitvilág, which was published for the first time in a 4-volume work entitled A Magyarság néprajza.
